Construction and development of al-Ain as a tourist city
Today, al-Ain is a modern metropolis, in which about 400 thousand people live. He is the second largest population in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and, as we have already noted, the fourth in all the UAE. The city is located 148 km from the capital of the emirate, on the border with Oman.
City landscapes here resemble modern European and American megacities. The construction of the city, like many other Arab settlements, has intensified recently. In just a couple of decades, al-Ain has turned into a real oasis of modern civilization in the middle of an endless desert. There is its own university, there are many educational secondary schools available to everyone, and cultural life is actively developing.
