BANF Park is the first seniority in Canada and the third in the world. It extends to more than 6,600 square kilometers and surrounds visitors to the majestic and untouched Canadian nature.
It is easiest to get to the Banf Park from the largest city in Alberta, Calgary. Kalgary Airport accepts local flights, as well as international – from the USA and the countries of Central America, Europe and Asia. Buses go from Kalgary to the city of Banf, you can come by car – but it is not easy to park in the park.
Lake Luise. Lake Victoria owes its incredibly turquoise color the lake. On the shore, marked paths are laid for giving on foot tourism. You can also rent canoe or kayak. On the shore of the lake is the Chateau Louise Hotel with the best restaurant in the district.
Other lakes Park Banf. From Lake Luise can be reached on foot to several lakes. Lake Leo is a picturesque reservoir under a rocky ridge ten peaks. The distance is quite large (about 14 km in crossed areas), but the view of the lake is worth it-until 1993 it decorated the Canadian 20-dollar banknote. Another option is Lake Agnes under an unusual mountain of the hive. The road there and back – only 7 km with a height of 400 m. But in a small tea house on the shore of the lake, snacks and soft drinks are offered.
Canyon Johnson. In a deep canyon with several magnificent waterfalls, the most popular hiking trail in the Banf Park is taking place. Thanks to a convenient flooring with railings, you can admire an amazing gorge without climbing equipment.
