How did the history of the Sant-Antoni area began
This area received its name from the church of St. Anthony, when in the old days it was part of the fortress wall, and one of the main gates that led to the old city. There was a large busy road from these gates, along which it was possible to come to the village of Sant.
The area owes the world exhibition in many respects to its existence, which took place in 1929, then the city authorities decided to improve this zone, which in the future will surround the Square of Spain and the exhibition center. And before that, there was almost one building in this area, it was a huge Sant Anthony market, which was built of iron, Rovir and Trays were engaged in its architecture, it was built for the needs of the Raval working area in 1872-1882.
