Historical attractions and museums of the city of Lilo
The work of the Flemish, Dutch and French masters of the XV – XVIII centuries, as well as gold and silver products, ceramics, musical instruments, tapestries, furniture are the work of the Flemish, Dutch and French masters. The Museum of Art and Industry stores a unique collection collected in the building of the restored pool.
Works of art of the 20th century and present time are in the Museum of Contemporary Art. Many exhibits were presented to the museum by famous philanthropists, artists, members of their families. Jean Masurel, a famous collector of France, continuing the work of his uncle Roger Düdleyel, collected paintings by artists of the 20th century. In 1979, he handed over to the Museum of Elegant Arts Lille 219 paintings by various artists. Later, the museum received several more collections of abstract art and in the style of Ar-bart.
