Characterization and brief description of Mongolia
The territory of Mongolia is a huge plateau rising above sea level. Mountains on its territory occupy more than 40 % of the total area. In its size, this country has 17th place in the world. Mongolia is located at the junction of the central, northern, East Asia. In the north they have a common border with Russia, in the south – with China.
The mountains encircle this country from all sides, isolation of it from the oceans, which makes its climate dry, sharply continental. Summer is hot and sunny, and winter is snowy and cold.
The population density in this country is very small – about 1, 7 people per 1 km3. And its total number barely reaches 3 million people.
