Cultural attractions in the Maldives
Mosque Hukuru and National Museum. Hukura is the oldest mosque in the country. It was built in 1656, and has a very complex carved interior. Outside, the mosque is trimmed with corrugated iron and coral stones. The National Park is represented by part of the Sultan Palace, which survived in 1968 after the palace was demolished. People are very careful and patriotic to this historical architectural monument.
