It is believed that the tiles are best laid on a concrete base or cement screed. However, there is a method of installing tiles on a wooden coating. To be more accurate, then styling is not carried out on the wooden floor itself, but on a special substrate – gypsum fiber, which is produced in the form of sheets. Often this material is designated as sheets of GVL.
But before you start laying tiles, it is necessary to prepare a wooden base. All large cracks, cracks and chips need to be close. It will also have to be eliminated by all unevenness. It is advisable to fix the shaking and creaking boards – screw them with self -tapping screws to the lags below below.
As for the gypsum fiber itself, its sheets are mounted on a wooden coating in the same way using self -tapping screws and screws. At the same time, the joints between the sheets are additionally strengthened, smearing them with glue, which is often sold complete with GVL. But before starting work, it is still necessary to cover the wooden floor with waterproofing, and only then mount gypsum fiber.
Also, in the sheets of GVL, several holes can be made to prevent the destruction of materials in case of rotting.
After the installation of the hyposyolonocal backdrop is completed, you can proceed to laying ceramic tiles. For this, it is also desirable to use a special solution for GVL materials.
