When designing the interior, you must take into account the presence of pets and their behavioral habits. Otherwise the repair will have to be redone too often.
First of all, you should choose the right floor covering. From the point of view of resistance to mechanical damage and moisture exposure, ceramic tiles are ideal. But not everyone wants to see a ceramic floor in the entire apartment. As an alternative, you should consider linoleum or laminate of high -class wear resistance.
To design walls, the use of panels for the finish of the lower part may be a good way out. The upper part can be painted or used for decoration wallpaper. Panels, especially plastic ones, are perfectly cleaned and are not afraid of the paws of a cat or dog.
Doors are a favorite place to sharpen claws, so you should either choose those that are especially resistant to mechanical damage, or glue PVC with a film.
Curtains are especially suffering from cats. You can replace them with blinds or roll curtains or use short curtains to the windowsill. The bedspreads and pillows will remain untouched if they are sewn from “slippery” materials – usually animals do not like this texture and products from them ignore.
And, of course, it is necessary to provide a corner for a pet – with a soft sleeping place, with a claw -eater and a favorite toy.
