Significant historical values of the city of Sigguno
Watch in Sigtun has something. For example, one of the most significant historical values is the ancient ruins of the Church of the Holy Street, this was one of the first churches in the country to adopt Christianity much later than Ancient Rus’. Another church – Holy Mary – is no less interesting and remarkable. This is the first Swedish church built of brick. It is perfectly preserved in its original form.
Sigtuna is considered the oldest city of Sweden. And here the most different buildings and objects of the Middle Ages have been preserved. Starting from the end of the nineteenth century, excavations were regularly carried out here. Many of the finds can see tourists in a local museum opened back in 1916. In particular, there are a lot of home utensils, furniture, and tools there.
