Interesting rituals and traditions of love courtship
At different times and in different countries, courtship was a whole ritual. Let’s look at the most interesting of them.
In England, if the gentleman liked the lady, he must give her … a couple of gloves. If the next Sunday the lady appears in these gloves in the service in the church, this means that she accepts his courtship and he can proceed to more active actions in the form of flowers and notes.
In colonial Africa, young people who wanted to tie their lives with ties of marriage are required to go through a whole ritual. The couple should spend the whole night together, in the same bed, but at the same time be completely dressed and do not touch each other. In order to be confident that passion does not break out between young people, they traditionally put a bag of rags between them or even put a slide of wood.
