Memorable places and ancient temples of the city of Helsinger
The streets of the city of Helsinger look very picturesque, where the development of the XVI – XVIII centuries has almost completely preserved. They are decorated with monuments, statues and fountains, as well as several ancient temples. The most famous of them is the Cathedral of St. Olaf, erected in the XIII century in the Romanesque style, and in the XIX century supplemented by a high spire. The church of the Blessed Virgin Mary (XV in.), which was at the monastery closed in the era of the Reformation.
Another interesting structure of this settlement is the elegant Palace of Marienist. This castle was built at the beginning of the 18th century, and in the 19th century a romantic park with flower beds was broken around it. In addition, the city has a local history museum telling about Helsinger’s history, a toy museum, a technical museum and a shipyard museum.
